Thunderbirds arrive in Battle Creek for Field of Flight Air Show

BATTLE CREEK, Mich. (WOOD) — The Thunderbirds have arrived in Battle Creek for the Field of Flight Air Show and Balloon Festival.

Lt. Col. Justin Elliott leads the crew and will probably be performing for the crowds.

“I’m the commander of the squadron. That includes all 135 people on the team and I’m also the leader of the demonstration and so I’ll fly the number one jet in the demo,” Elliott mentioned.

The F-16 planes arrived Thursday evening at Battle Creek Executive Airport, training some maneuvers earlier than they landed.
