The Glendale facility, on roughly 144 acres at 150th Avenue and Northern Avenue, will be designed to reduce water use and minimize waste sent to landfills, while striving to be run entirely on renewable energy by 2025. In addition, Nestlé will use fully recyclable product packaging made from food-safe recycled plastic. It will be the company’s most technologically advanced U.S. factory and distribution center.
The company could receive up to $7 million in state tax incentives for creating 350 jobs, according to the Arizona Commerce Authority.
