Great Texas Airshow returns to San Antonio next month to celebrate Air Force’s 75th birthday

SAN ANTONIO (KTSA News) — The Great Texas Airshow is heading again to Randolph AFB next month.

The airshow will function an aerial present that features the U.S. Air Force “Thunderbirds,” the F-35A Lightning II Demonstration Team, Tora! Tora! Tora!, the Wings of Blue U.S. Air Force Parachute Team and different performances to spherical out the lineup.

The Great Texas Airshow will happen April 23 and 24 from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and is free and open to the general public.

“We are all looking forward to celebrating the heritage, precision, and professionalism of our Air Force and providing the San Antonio community an opportunity to interact with the teammates and mission partners who are responsible for making JBSA the DoD’s premier joint base,” stated Brig. Gen. Caroline Miller, the 502nd Air Base Wing and JBSA commander.

Event officers stated the Great Texas Airshow may even be celebrating the 75th anniversary of the U.S. Air Force.
