Major Scott Petz is the advance pilot/narrator for the U.S. Air Force Air Demonstration Squadron, flying the No. 8 jet. While in high school, he was active in sports, including football, basketball and track. He enlisted in the Air National Guard and served as a crew chief before earning a commission through the Academy of Military Science in 2002. Before joining the team, he served as the Assistant Director of Operations in the Air Force Reserve’s 706th Fighter Squadron at Nellis AFB, NV. He has logged more than 1,800 flight hours as an Air Force pilot, with more than 208 combat hours in the F-16. Major Petz is in his first season with the team and hails from Faith, S.D.
