The Thunderbirds hosted a Speed Mentoring session June 29 at the Thunderbirds Hangar on Nellis Air Force Base, Nev.
“The speed mentoring event enabled Airmen of all ranks to sit down and talk to someone about a myriad of different topics in a short amount of time,”said Staff Sgt. Anthony Tressler, Thunderbirds Avionics Systems. “Along with getting their questions answered, attendees got the chance to network with other Airmen on the base.”
Over 90 Airmen attended the Speed Mentoring session which lasted about two hours.
“I talked to Airmen about positive attitudes and teamwork,” said Tressler. “Today’s event allowed our enlisted leaders the opportunity to combat some of the individualized issues that hinder some of our Airmen. One part of the Thunderbird mission is to retain Airmen and we hope that today gave the attendees motivation to network and excel in their careers.”
Due to today’s success, another Speed Mentoring session is already being planned.
